FEEDING GER SASSER -Crossfit/ GRID Athletes like Ger Sasser need big fuel and people were always asking me what I feed Ger, my son. (5 time Crossfit Regionals athlete, San Francisco Fire GRID athlete, and owner/trainer of CROSSFIT COUNTDOWN, along with his wife, Cassie) I love to come up with delicious, simple, mostly paleo diet meal plans and share them, so others can have success in the kitchen. These easy Crossfit diet meal plan recipes can make a big difference in your performance.
I preach about the importance of bone broth all the time. I encourage people to make it, to buy it, and to cook with it. When you have time, making it yourself is a great use of your time – it’s going to support your health and strength.
But that’s time-consuming. Thank goodness you can buy it, too. I keep Pacific Bone Broth in the house all the time.
Ger can drink it right out of the container but some people can’t so I developed this easy way to up the delicious-factor.
I poured an 8 oz container of bone broth into a small pan and warmed it on the stove. (If you are a microwave-user, you could warm yours there…)
I poured the warmed bone broth into a coffee cup and added:
1 tsp grass fed butter
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp smoked sea salt
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Ger is strong and he gets a chance to prove it with The San Fransisco Fire. Their match will be televised on NBCSports Wed July 22, 2015. It's a repeat of their first match this season. Check all things GRID out on npgl.com. Here’s a photo from Everett at Paleo Fat Kid.
